Venetian Blinds: Just Say “No!”

I’m just as guilty as the next person – there are a few rooms in my house with the ass-ugly venetian blinds. If I had my way, I’d replace them all tomorrow. Eric over at Longhouse has found a nice modern solution from Ikea. Take a look:

    Shawn,
    I’ve spent some time combing through your blog, really wonderful information here, blogging it has a way of solidifying ideas and uncovering new paths that I find particularly rewarding. Thanks for your follow-up comment on my blog regarding Greenberg, this is precisely the type of cross pollination I crave. It sent me running to my art history books, thinking immediately of Malevich…white on white, how much more reductive can you get?
    Keep up the good work, I’ll be watching.

    Welcome to the party and thanks for the compliment. Your Malevich comment is spot on…and the blinds are pretty close to that white-on-white idea. Looks like you’re a painter-in-disguise!
